Starting with the Youth Basketball League for fourth and fifth graders starting fall 2012, Wythe County Parks and Recreation will be administering all registrations and payments to play all youth sports in the Max Meadows School District Area. For other school districts, please contact your local booster club to sign up for youth sports.
Those sports included are youth basketball (fourth through seventh graders), Tee Ball (five and six year olds), Pitching Machine Baseball (seven and eight olds), Dixie Youth League Baseball (nine through 12 year olds), Girl?s Fast Pitch Softball (eight through 13 year olds), Flag Football and Cheerleading (first and second graders), Tackle Football and Cheerleading (third through sixth graders), Spring Soccer (ages nine to 13), Fall Soccer (Pre K ? second graders), Youth Sports? Clinics and Camps and other athletic programs offered in the Max Meadows School area.
There will be two open registration dates held for youth basketball for fourth and fifth graders this fall. The first one will be at the next Max Meadow Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012 at 6:30 p.m.
The second open registration will be held on Thursday, Oct. 11 from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Wythe County Administrative Building, 340 South Sixth Street, Wytheville, VA.
Registration forms with payments can also be mailed to Wythe County Parks and Recreation, 340 South Sixth St., Wytheville, VA 24382.
Deadline to register for Youth Basketball, fourth and fifth graders is Oct. 12, at 5 p.m. If you may have any questions concerning youth sports in Wythe County or the Max Meadows School district, please contact Wythe County Parks and Recreation Sports?
